The 7900XTX is viable 4K Gaming that isn't over a grand. There have been sales of the card for around 7-800 bucks already. I have one, it's pretty damn good. Everything is fast and fluid and that's without running FSR.

If the onboard GPUs are finally above 8 EUs (I think they go to 12 now), the possibility of ditching the discreet graphics is getting better.

You will be fine. I was able to run it on an HP with an AMD 5700x and it's 8 Core Integrated Radeon Card at 30+ FPS at 900P, stock settings. It will probably run perfectly on your laptop at medium to high/max settings
